Women Empowered® is a comprehensive self-defense program designed for the dangerous situations that women face. Elements of striking, situational awareness, and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu are combined to provide women with the tools necessary to defend themselves. This curriculum covers both the psychology and physical aspects necessary to prepare you to defend against situations like being assaulted with weapons, drug by your hair, or being pinned to the ground or wall.

This curriculum covers difficult topics that can be triggering. It is for this reason that we recommend being 14 or older before joining this class.

The Women Empowered Pink Belt is awarded to those who complete the program and submit a video test to demonstrate competency in executing the techniques learned. After completing the program and feeling confident in the techniques, you will have the ability to submit a video test that is evaluated for the following criteria:

  • Accuracy: Precise and correct execution.

  • Efficiency: Fluid, relaxed movements and efficient use of energy.

  • Reflexes: Instinctive and timely responses to all indicators.

  • Principles: An understanding of the most important self-defense principles.

You begin your evaluation with 100 points, and each significant error will cause a 1-point deduction. A score of 90 or higher and you will be recommended to receive your Pink Belt! Score lower than 90, then your test will be returned to you with a description of each error so that you can improve and prepare for a re-test.

The video below is an example of what a Pink Belt test submission can look like.
